What we use

WagerLock uses the phone number saved by the person you sponsor to send accountability alerts only after you separately agree and confirm from that phone. We record the consent statement and version, its page URL, request and confirmation times, and the messaging provider event identifier. Consent records use a keyed hash of the number. Phone confirmation codes expire after 30 minutes.

Purpose and providers

These records document your permission, prevent messages to unconfirmed numbers, process STOP replies and investigate delivery problems. Cloudflare hosts the service and database. Telnyx processes phone numbers, message content and delivery events for SMS. Resend handles email alerts separately.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties except service providers necessary to operate, secure and deliver this messaging service, or where legally required.

Message content

Texts may include the WagerLock user’s display name and the type of protection-related action observed. They do not contain browsing history, gambling estimates or payment details.

Retention and choices

Unconfirmed requests are removed after their expiration and a short cleanup period. Confirmed consent and opt-out records are retained to document permission and honor your choice. Reply STOP to stop texts. Opting out does not delete or unlock the user’s saved sponsor. SMS permission is optional and separate from email alerts.
