Sponsor SMS Terms

WagerLock sponsor texts are optional accountability notifications for people chosen as sponsors. Messages include sponsor enrollment notices and alerts about attempts to disable, uninstall, or alter protection. They do not promote gambling, include advertising, or report browsing history or gambling estimates.

Giving permission

Enter your own mobile number, read and check the separate SMS consent box, then send the unique JOIN code from that same phone to +1 855 513 6076. Permission is recorded only after a valid confirmation text is received. Being added as a sponsor by a WagerLock user does not authorize SMS. SMS consent is not required to buy or use WagerLock and is separate from email alerts.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies with sponsor enrollments and protection-related events. Message and data rates may apply, including to confirmation texts you send. WagerLock does not charge sponsors to receive alerts. Text delivery remains unavailable until the sender is approved.

Stopping texts and getting help

Reply STOP to stop WagerLock texts to your number. Reply HELP for help, or visit Sponsor SMS Help. WagerLock keeps the opt-out and will not restart texts after START or another JOIN request. Opting out does not let the user change or remove the saved sponsor.

Delivery limits

Carrier filtering, outages and device changes can delay or prevent delivery. Alerts describe observed protection-related actions; they are not proof that gambling occurred. This is not an emergency monitoring service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
